Raghib Husain, PhD, ERT
Managing Partner & CEO
Raghib Husain is an accomplished toxicologist with about 30 years of extensive experience in preclinical research and development. Raghib received his Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow. He has undergone post-doctoral research training at Turku University, Turku, Finland and Imperial College, London and has worked in major Indian pharmaceutical companies and CROs like Wockhardt, Zydus Cadila, Glenmark, Jubilant Biosys Piramal Lifesciences and Krish Biotech. He has handled multiple programs in cancer, metabolic disorder, pain and inflammation and made significant contribution in several discovery and development projects. Raghib has created safety profile of molecules (small & large) for submissions/presentations to national and international regulatory agencies for approval at different stages of clinical development.
Raghib has designed & established the Animal Facilities, DMPK, Toxicology, Pharmacology & Radioactive labs in the research centres at Piramal, Jubilant Biosys, Glenmark, Zydus-Cadila and Wockhardt. He established the GLP facilities at the NCE research unit of Piramal Enterprises Ltd, Mumbai and Krish Biotech Research Private Limited (KBRPL), Kalyani, near Kolkata which were certified for OECD-GLP compliance by National GLP Compliance and Monitoring Authority of India in record time. His last assignment was at KBRPL working as a Senior Vice President and Head of R&D.
He has published 20 articles in the journals of international repute and also member of Society of Toxicology, US and British Association of Research Quality Assurance, UK.
Akram Mohammad, PhD, LLM

Akram Mohammad is an accomplished scientist & legal expert having more than 30 years of experience in chemistry & biochemistry. He received PhD from Aligarh Muslim University, India and involved in research projects at institutions of high academic ranking like Central Drug Research Institute Lucknow India, Industrial Toxicology Research Center, Lucknow, India; Ministry of Agriculture and water, Riyadh & Qassim University, KSA; Health Canada, University of Ottawa, Carleton University, UN–FAO (United Nation – Food and Agriculture Organization) etc. Dr Akram invented/ developed new method/ techniques in Health Canada labs: A new type of flow-through diffusion cell for the toxicological determination of in-vitro human skin absorption of chemicals. He is also currently working on a research project entitled “Microbial plastic degradation with focus on polyethylene” to develop new strategies for analysis and quantification of radio-Isotopes Tc-99 applying Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (Lalonde AMS) at Advance Research Complex, University of Ottawa, Canada. He has several publications in the journals of international repute.
Dr Akram is MD of CanSRED Inc., Canada and also practising research related legal matters.
Shashank Rohatagi, PhD, MBA
Director, Business Development
Shashank has over 28 years of diverse experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry with a PhD in Pharmaceutics (Pharmacokinetics) and an MBA in Management and Information (MIS) Systems.
The hallmark of his career is his successful leadership in key scientific areas and strategic initiatives at the frontline of drug discovery and development, analytics, science and technology at several pharmaceutical companies based in US, India, Europe, Japan and Brazil such as Somerset Pharmaceuticals, Aventis, Daiichi Sankyo, Piramal Life Sciences, Otsuka and Trevi.
He has provided leadership in Drug Development including preclinical, Phase I/II/III, regulatory and lifecycle management. He has also supported more than 10 NDAs and several INDs across various therapeutic areas including CNS, Oncology, Cardiovascular, Anti-Infectives, Asthma/allergy and Devices. He has also worked on complex generics and 505(B2) submissions related to small molecules and peptides.
Shashank is Founder and President of Dasliph Consulting LLC where he has consulted with several companies across discovery and development.
Shashank has published over 150 abstracts and manuscripts in various international Journals. He has also written 4 book chapters. He holds adjunct faculty positions at the University of Florida and at the University of Tennessee.
